2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Actually a small boy with a toothbrush and some Ecover washing up liquid is very good for this job - Ecover is "green" and less expensive that any branded Alloy cleaning fluid and the job keeps said small boy quiet for hours - what could be better! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Pulled up at the car wash the other day, behind an Audii TT, out he jumps, opens the rear, out comes the Alloy wheel cleaner (Auotglym). Quickly he whizzes round squirts all 4 wheels, then drives into the car wash.

Thinking what a thoughtful person he was, as I drove away, Evil or Very Mad having decided to give the car a hand job instead

That's far too much Nick, a Sherbert Straw was more along the lines of payment or a penny lolly............... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Right so its been a manic week... decided to do some of the car related stuff last night.

Heres the tools Cool

.

I then realised after building the new garage i had not tested whether the range fits! Also the company who supplied the doors wanted some pictures so took a few snaps Whistle . Fits nicely!... maybe shouldnt have spent £40 a sq metre on tiles for my garage though Laughing .

Right so the plan was to clean the wheels. Got the new jet wash out and put it together only to realise i didnt have a hose and its almost 3am by now Laughing Laughing . Luckily this is London! Off to my second home. 24 Hour Hand Car wash in paddington!

I know the guys really well so have the benefit of being able to use their space. A few jetwashes help aswell Thumbs Up

Sprayed on the bilberry and 'aggitated' it with the little brush. Left it on for quite a while. Then jetwashed it off.

One of the car wash guys got a sponge and really went to work on the back of the rims!

which went from...

to this...

Also the tyre/trim gel is awesome stuff. Used really small amounts. Comparison picture with and without:

The wax is awesome stuff aswell. Easy to apply and doesnt smell half bad! Ill comment on the protection next time i get it cleaned.

so by now thanks to my no rush attitude, lack of need for sleep and spending more time talking than cleaning it was about 5am when i couldnt help myself. Remember that tape i bought cos i thought it looked cool? Turns out its harder to put on nicely than it looks Laughing .

.... Ended up getting the guys to polish the car with AG SRP and add a coat of AG gloss summin. I was going to add a wax but i didnt have the one i wanted to use so ill order that this week.

No on the car pictures of the rims yet. I was planning to come straight to the meet today and do all the photos there but unfortunately stuff came up around 8am so couldnt come. Gutted Big Cry . WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

gave my wheels a billberrying today too ( i had to after seeing VW as i too wanted to try my new product)

I have some very baked on dust, and a little mixed in tar, Only done the outer face as i don't have a spare set of wheels the put the car on. mixed up a solution due to this at 1:1 (100ml/100ml) which was just enough to do all 4 wheels. Using Autosmart tardis to remove the tar.

Came up really well, still a few spots, using a small brush and a stiff autoglym wheel brusg to aggitate to a foam, left a while, and rinsed, then did a few areas with Autoglym acid cleaner

Rinsed/dried and then on with two coats of poorboys Wheel sealant and a then i put a coat of Collinite 476s which is a hard wearing durable wax which left them with a near new sparkle Cool

The wheels took about 45mins each in total, then went on to snow foam and wash the car and dried

No polish this time as i have to give the car a machine polish still, so i washed the wifes cars instead

No photos time though Thumbs Up

Also drove to southampton yesterday evening to buy another car and never had so many people eyeballing me as they went past Laughing . The guys wife also commented on how much she likes the wheels Whistle .

err yea, i need to order me some of that Collinite 476s! Also need to get a foam thing.

I figure im not getting it detailed till im confident i know how to wash it properly! WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph
