What? Shocked

Where else does 11k buy you the original super saloon? It still blows most modern saloons into the weeds now.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Rimini Red

Thanks guys. I am looking at 2 girlie Boxsters tonight........... Whistle Whistle

I drove the BMW and for me, it all seemed, well a little BMW really....absolutely soul-less with no connectivity to the car whatsoever. The Porsche in EVERY review wins....with either the Z4 or S2000 coming next.

The Carlton may be fast, but it aint no 2 seater...so not for me. My Gladiators:

RRS S/C HST - Buy a Lada Riva instead - the knocking noises still continue - HOLD your HEADS IN SHAME LAND ROVER

Freeloader 2 SE with all the toys - my baby RR
Merc SL55 AMG - Tarmac ripper!

Disco3 - Gone
Defender 90 TD - Gone
FFRR Vogue - Gone
BMW X5 4.4 - Gone
LR Defender 300Tdi - Gone
LR Defender 2.5 PETROL - Gone

I clicked Boxter, although I'd buy an older 911 for the same budget!

If it's girlie 2 seaters your after then - Mazda MX5 comes to mind, cheap to buy, cheap to run, loads of fun even if it isn't that fast and has a really good heater so you can use it all year round A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

if your a girl get the boxster, gay get the Z4, old man on track days get the Elise, slightly mad get a TVR, Suicidal get the S2000/MX5 or RX7.

If you want some drama for £12k get a nice old 911SC or simlar and feel the class. M3 CSL Silver Grey

Have owned a Lotus (1996 Esprit S4s not an Elise) and a new 2001 Boxster S. Also have a mate with one of the first S1 Elises that he still has having owned it from brand new. For the type of fun I believe you are looking for get the Boxster S.

Look for a 2002 onwards if you can as you will get the glass rear window not the vinyl one. The Boxster S is great as IIRC it has the same suspension and brakes setup from the 996 of the day, and only slightly less power. But inportanly is mid engined... makes for some great power sliding! Twisted Evil

Lastly WW - you are almost as tall as me, and I believe you will also struggle to get into the Lotus more than you will the Boxster. I always find it funny watching Clarkson 'shoe-horned' into an Elise!! 2008 TDV6 WHITE/EBONY
