My dad smokes cigars in his car, the front inside corner of the headlining and trim is brown compared the rest of the car which is still the ivory colour.

Cigarette smoke is virtually impossible to remove from something like a car. Most of the materials in your car are porous and as such will absorb the smoke particles below the surface. With a jumper you can throw it in the wash, you can't do that with your car.... that's going to be a good argument with your dealer - I'd go softly at it because frankly, if you upset him in anyway he's going to just say you shouldn't have bought it which is fair comment really. Good luck, anyhow |

You're right but when the car was in the showroom, with all the windows open, it wasn't so obvious.

My business is basically removing odours from buildings. I have succesfully deodorised and removed this kind of odour from several vehicles for friends and family. The process is thus....

I had a similar situation once and Meguiar's "Car Odor Eliminator" helped. |

What you need is something that will remove the source of the smell, not just cover it... which is why Sheffield Jase's solution, although long winded and complex is probably nearer the truth. |

Yes, masking the odour will only delay the problem.
